The second episode of STEMspresso virtually takes us to Darmstadt, to talk with Albana Topi. 

Albana is a postdoc at the Department of Biophysics at GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung GmbH in Darmstadt, Germany. Her research is focused on the use of heavy ions for the treatment of cancer patients and the study of the damage caused by spatial radiation to the health of astronauts during interplanetary flights. She received a PhD in physics focused in Medical Physics from Università Degli Studi di Siena.

Albana is passionate about encouraging young people to pursue a career in science.
